New CEO appointed to lead strategic direction of Peterborough CVS
Peterborough Council for Voluntary Service (PCVS) is proud to announce that they have appointed Christina Alexander as their new CEO. Christina has worked with PCVS since 2018 and was Communities Manager and most recently, has been acting as interim CEO since Leonie McCarthy resigned from this position earlier in May this year.
Christina is delighted to be stepping into this pinnacle role permanently, driving PCVS forward, and raising the profile of Peterborough’s Voluntary and Community sector and improving the lives of many. She says, “I am excited to have this opportunity particularly at this crucial time when we are emerging from the pandemic into a new era of uncertainty and financial hardship. I am passionate about what we do at PCVS and I am looking forward to working with our Board of Trustees, Staff and partners to strengthen relationships across the sector so that we can thrive together and improve the quality of people’s lives across the City of Peterborough collectively.”
PCVS currently has around 400 members who benefit from the services they provide: from guiding groups and charities through the set-up processes for their new initiatives and offering a direct payments service, to standing up for the voluntary services sector and helping to make local lives better.
